teamhawkeye asked: okay, so i know we had that whole talk about the Deputy being haunted by the ghosts of the other Seeds in the bunker the other day after that one post came up. but it got me thinking, what if Joseph no longer hears The Voice after the Collapse starts (i mean, it would certainly explain his attitude in the New Dawn trailer, anyway). But then Rook mentions to him about hearing "voices" when they finally open up & he's left wondering why his siblings talk to them and why he no longer hears from God
The Deputy being haunted by the Seeds and hearing their voices or tiny glimpses of them in the corner of their eyes, hearing John’s “power of yes” speech faintly echoing off the walls or the distant tune of “Only You,” or the sickly sweet smell of the bliss lingering despite it being nothing but a distant memory of a life long gone.
And one day they just snap, they can’t take it anymore, and they tell Joseph, they finally confess. Joseph thinks he finally got through to them but it’s so much more than he thought, and Joseph just goes pale.
Because it wasn’t just God who left him.
His family left him, too.
And Joseph is alone with the person who brought this upon them, who opened the seals.
“I do hope you know what you’re in for. The loneliness, the heartbreak, the sacrifice you’ll face as a woman with a dream on her own. You don’t have any idea what I’m capable of.”
The lyrics to “Now He’s Our Father” allude to Joseph being in prison at once point, but nothing in the Book of Joseph explicitly says this (outside of alluding to a police investigation of the brothers making someone disappear).
Do you think Joseph’s full of BS and just made that wrap sheet up to sound like a political prisoner? Or do you think he spent like 2 hours in jail for smth like parking tickets or vagrancy?
What does it say about me that I completely forgot baby murder is a real crime for which you can be incarcerated? What does it say about Far Cry 5 that it made me forget? #immersion
was JoJo just so stock-full of that cult leader charm he got the nurses to go, “Don’t worry about it, brah?” We the injuries so bad that she could suffocate and it wouldn’t raise eyebrows if she just died? #doubt
there was no baby there was no wife joe is just fulla shit and the face tattooed on his arm is a swimsuit model joe picked out of one of john’s magazines because she looked “the most holy”

Ok im gonna get real for second. So in the real world (which fc5 clearly is not so idk) I don’t think you can be left alone with or hold a baby in NICU, and even if by some chance he was able to kill her, the machines would have gone off and alerted people. So I headcanon that he had to “pull the plug” on his daughter and ended up having a psychotic break due to the stress and loss which lead him to imagine/believe he killed his daughter as the Lord asked, similar to Abraham from the bible, God just didn’t stop Joseph.
However the book of Joseph does state he was homeless for a time so may be he got arrested for pooping in the street?
